Peter Pan Pantomime Script Excerpt

The LOST BOYS are celebrating having shot down the 'Wendybird' when PETER PAN enters with JOHN and MICHAEL.

PETER: Hey everyone! I’m home.

TOOTLES: Where have you been?

PETER: I’ve been back to get my shadow and I’ve fixed it back on.

The LOST BOYS cheer.

MICHAEL: That’s not what happened!

PETER: Yes, it is. And if you think otherwise then I’ll take you straight back home.

JOHN: (Changing his tune) You did fix it on. You were amazing!

TOOTLES: Who are you?

JOHN: I’m John, this is Michael & this is our sister… (JOHN looks around for WENDY but she isn’t there) Peter, where’s Wendy?

SLIGHTLY: Did you just say Wendy?

JOHN: Yes, have you seen her!

NIBS: Of course we saw her.

TOOTLES: Tinker Bell saw her, Nibs said to shoot her and Slightly shot her.

MICHAEL: You did what?

TOOTLES: That’s what you always tell us: See it, say it, sort it!

SLIGHTLY: (Proud of himself) It was a great shot too. Straight in the heart!

JOHN: You shot our sister in the heart?

NIBS: No, he shot the Wendy-bird.

MICHAEL: What’s a Wendy-bird?

SLIGHTLY: It's a great big bird that wants to eat us.

WENDY staggers onstage; she’s been hit with an arrow.

NIBS: Look, here she comes. (Congratulating SLIGHTLY) What a great shot!

TOOTLES: (Seeing her clearly for the first time) That’s not a Wendy-bird, it’s a Ladybird!

JOHN: That’s not a Ladybird…

JOHN & MICHAEL: It’s our sister!
