Pantomime Scripts

• All Nick Lawrence Pantomimes (NLP) scripts come with permission to include local place names & references.

• Our scripts contain some Christmas/Seasonal references. If performing at different time of year you are permitted to edit these to something more seasonally suitable.

• All our pantomime scripts are periodically updated. Any NLP script you possess is strictly applicable to the season in which you request/licence it & must be deleted and/or destroyed afterwards.

• All material contained in our scripts is & remains the property of Nick Lawrence Pantomimes. This includes all edits by the licensee.

• Free Perusal Scripts & Script Excerpts are available at www.nicklawrencepantomimes.com & are subject to the same Terms & Conditions as full scripts.

• You must not perform, reproduce, distribute or copy any NLP script in part or full under any circumstances unless licensed/agreed with us first.

• You must not share any version of our script publicly or outside the cast/crew/production team of your society.

Free Perusal Scripts

• Perusal Scripts are supplied only for you to read & review.

• Possession of a Perusal Script in no way grants a Performance Licence & you must not share the script publicly.

• Perusal Scripts are only provided to traceable Amateur Theatre Societies, Groups & Organisations.

• You must not copy, edit or amend a Perusal Script.

Script Edits

• If you wish to make edits to your script you must purchase an Editable Master Script which will be provided in Word format.

• You must not insert additional material that is subject to copyright unless you have permission to do so from the copyright holder.

• It is permitted to change character genders where appropriate (eg: King/Queen or Empress/Emperor (& visa versa) as long as it is not to the detriment of the script.

• If you are unsure if your edit is permitted please contact us via email for approval.

• You must not make any edits to your script after the start of your first performance.

Performance Licences

• A Performance Licence must be obtained before you begin rehearsals. Please see our Performance Licence Fees.

• The venue capacity is defined by the maximum capacity of your performance space & not the number of seats you actually sell (or anticipate selling).

• A performance is defined as any showing where a person who is not part of your society, group or organisation is present regardless of whether they have paid for a ticket or not. This excludes photographers, videographers (if you have a licence) & press in attendance for marketing/press purposes.

• You can add additional performances at any time, but they must be agreed & paid for before tickets go on sale.

• In the event of the necessary postponement of your production due to unforeseen circumstances you must inform us as soon as possible. Your performance dates can be re-scheduled at no additional cost.

• Payment must be made in full before a Performance Licence is granted unless specifically agreed otherwise. Payment is usually made via bank transfer, if you wish to pay by other means please contact us first.

• All payments & fees are non-refundable.

• All licences, contracts & agreements are non-transferable & non-exclusive.

Video/Audio Recording Licence

• A licence to record video and/or audio is not automatically included in your Performance Licence.

• You may apply for a Video/Audio Recording Licence at any time but it must be approved & paid for before recording.

• Nick Lawrence Pantomimes only grant the right to record the dialogue as written in the script (including edits). We do not offer any recording rights for music/songs or any other type of recording licence you may be required to have.

• Video/Audio Licences are granted solely for private & rehearsal purposes. You may not broadcast video/audio of any NLP script for any reason. This includes posting online (eg YouTube & Social Media).

• You must provide us with a copy of your video/audio recording if we request it.

Advertising & Acknowledgement

• You must acknowledge Nick Lawrence Pantomimes as the author/writer/source of your production in your printed & digital publicity. Examples include (but are not limited to):

  • Posters

  • Programes

  • Leaflets/Flyers

  • Advertisements

  • Digital Content

  • Listing on your website/social media

• Acknowledgement examples include (but are not limited to):

  • “Pantomime Script Title” by Nick Lawrence

  • “Pantomime Script Title” by Nick Lawrence Pantomimes

  • A Pantomime by Nick Lawrence

  • A Nick Lawrence Pantomimes Script

  • Written by Nick Lawrence

  • Presented in agreement with Nick Lawrence Pantomimes.

• We would appreciate it if a link to the Nick Lawrence Pantomimes website, www.nicklawrencepantomimes.com, included in your digital marketing & your 'Archive/Previous Productions' website pages.

• We may use your production publicity/photography on our website as testimonial or marketing (for our scripts & your production!) Please let us know if you do not want us to do this.

• All artwork/images on our website are subject to copyright. If you wish to use any artwork/images from our website you must obtain permission first.

General

• If these Terms & Conditions are breached in any way Nick Lawrence Pantomimes reserve the right to cancel your agreement & refuse all future applications.

• Performance Licence Applications & Perusal Script Requests are not guaranteed. We reserve the right to refuse your application/request for any reason & without explanation.

• By placing a request/application with us you agree that you are at least 18 years old & capable & authorised to enter a legally binding agreement with Nick Lawrence Pantomimes.

• We may take legal action for any breach of our Terms & Conditions.

• All our scripts are protected by international copyright law.

• Nick Lawrence Pantomimes reserves all rights.

• Any decision made by Nick Lawrence Pantomimes is final.

• We reserve the right to change these Terms & Conditions in any way & at any time.
