It’s Princess Aurora’s naming day & the founding fairies have gathered to join in the celebrations. Carabosse, angry she wasn't invited, interrupts proceedings & curses the Princess to prick her finger on a spindle & die.
After Fairy Velvet alters the curse to prevent her death & make her sleep for 100 years instead, the people of Pantoland decide they too will sleep & wake up when the Princess does. Now, a century later they must rescue Aurora from Carabosse's clutches & help her find her one true love.

Sleeping Beauty Pantomime Script Excerpt
GERALD and the ENSEMBLE are waiting for the Princess' naming ceremony to begin.
GERALD: I wonder where the Queen has got to, the fairies will be arriving any second now.
There is a magical sound. FAIRY SLIK & FAIRY CASHMERE magically appear. The ENSEMBLE chatter with excitement.
GERALD: I didn’t mean literally any second now!
FAIRY SILK: Hello everyone, we’re here for the naming ceremony. Where is the baby?
GERALD: (To the AUDIENCE) That’s Fairy Silk. She’s soft, smooth and always looks gorgeous.
FAIRY CASHMERE: And where are the King and Queen?
GERALD: That’s Fairy Cashmere. She’s smart and warm and there’s nothing woolly about her.
FAIRY SILK: We can’t name the princess if she isn’t here.
QUEENIE rushes onstage.
QUEENIE: Sorry I’m late. I had a nightmare choosing what to wear. First, I was going to wear some cowboy chic, but I realised that was just ranch dressing. And my astronomy dress wouldn’t fit right, I kept mooning at everyone!
FAIRY CASHMERE: You’re here now and that’s all that matters; and look, your husband is coming too.
The KING enters.
KING: There you are Queenie, I’ve been looking for you everywhere!
QUEENIE: But if I’m here and you’re there, where’s the baby?
There is an evil chord. CARABOSSE enters. Everyone gasps. PLUM follows carrying the baby princess.
KING: Carabosse, what are you doing here?
CARABOSSE: Are you looking for this? (Pointing at the baby in PLUMB’S arms)
PLUM: Why would they be looking for me?
CARABOSSE: They’re not looking for you, they’re looking for the baby, it’s the naming ceremony!
PLUM: But I’ve already got a name, I don’t need another one!
CARABOSSE: You’ve got plenty of names; idiot, fool, clown, idiot!
GERALD: You said idiot twice.
CARABOSSE: He’s REALLY stupid!
